Flowfinity Wireless Offers Fully Integrated Barcode Solution for BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds
March 28, 2007
Flowfinity Wireless Inc., a leading provider of adaptable applications and fully integrated solutions for the wireless enterprise, today is announcing the availability of a packaged solution for the use of bardcode scanning with BlackBerry® smartphones from Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX:RIM). Now, forms-based applications from Flowfinity work seamlessly with the OPL 2724 from the Infinite Peripherals Company (IPC) to help businesses automate inventory management, asset tracking, compliance procedures, security logging, data collection and sales orders.
The OPL 2724 is a durable, high quality barcode scanner that communicates via Bluetooth® wireless technology to Bluetooth-enabled BlackBerry® smartphones. The peripheral is easy to use: just point, click and scan. Once the code is scanned it is directly recorded into a Flowfinity application such as Flowfinity Forms or Flowfinity Actions. Using Flowfinity, users can be assured that any barcode scanned and submitted will be sent to the home office securely and reliably.
The fully integrated solution is a unique combination of easy-to-use, adaptable software and of compact, lightweight, and durable scanner hardware. The combination also uniquely combines reliability with cost-effectiveness.
Flowfinity sees demand for secure, wireless barcode solutions from vertical markets such as Security companies, Healthcare providers, Distribution companies, Utility companies, and Transportation and Logistics companies. As well, there are increasing needs by companies with field service technicians, computer/network technicians, and compliance auditors/inspectors.
"Our customers have been asking us for a reliable and fully-integrated solution," said Larry Wilson, Flowfinity's VP of Sales and Marketing. "The OPL 2724 from Infinite Peripherals will greatly accelerate the field effectiveness of our customers. The combination of our easy-to-use and easy-to-adapt applications with these excellent scanners means an end-to-end solution that pays for itself almost immediately."
Available immediately, a fully integrated solution can be purchased now, and deployed within hours.
"We are excited about the integration of our scanners with applications from Flowfinity," said Jeff Scott, VP of Sales and Marketing for Infinite Peripherals. "With the combination of Flowfinity's secure, adaptable, and easy-to-use applications and our reliable, low cost barcode scanner, we will be able to meet the data capture needs of many organizations."
