Flowfinity Smart Client

The Flowfinity Client is deployed on the handhelds to provide a "smart client" runtime for the applications. The Virtual Machine technology built into Flowfinity Client provides complete isolation for multiple business applications running on the handheld and enables multiple Solutions Servers to share the same Flowfinity Client runtime. Users access their applications via a Portal View leveraging the multi-tasking user interface that is familiar to all desktop users.

Even though BlackBerry supports the standard J2ME environment, BlackBerry OS exposes many more proprietary APIs than are available in the standard J2ME API set. Flowfinity Client provides extensive integration with the proprietary APIs of BlackBerry which enables developers to take full advantage of BlackBerry capabilities without having to learn such proprietary APIs and being locked into them.
