Flowfinity Forms 5.5 Delivers Enhanced Mobile Data Collection Capabilities with Support for Pictures on BlackBerry Smartphones

Leveraging Built-in Camera automates better recording capabilities for inspections, incident reports, tracking assets and documenting work

September 10, 2008
San Francisco, CA - CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment Tradeshow 2008

Flowfinity Wireless Inc., a leading provider of adaptable mobile applications, is announcing today that it is launching Flowfinity Forms 5.5 at the CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment tradeshow. Flowfinity Forms is designed to allow businesses to build, deploy and manage the mobile forms they need for business critical data collection in the field while also making the experience easy and productive for the mobile users. With Flowfinity Forms 5.5, the ability to capture pictures using the built-in camera featured on the BlackBerry® Pearl™ and BlackBerry® Curve™ series smartphones, as well as the new BlackBerry® Bold™ smartphone from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX:RIM), combined with support for recording barcodes, recording GPS coordinates and over 25 different data field types makes this approach to mobile data collection highly comprehensive.

Flowfinity Forms has been on the market for over 5 years, has a large base of customers, and has been an award-winning product over the years. It has remained unique in the mobile data collection category by combining a point-and-click visual form editor, over-the-air form deployment, end-to-end security, always available forms, submission notification for managers, and centralized data collation. Now, this new version embraces the expanding capabilities of new BlackBerry smartphones to improve the data recording context and capabilities. Adding pictures to record keeping means better inspection records, improved quality of incident reporting, more complete asset tracking records, and comprehesive documentation of work progress and completion. This can have significant financial implications for protection from legal liability, for quality of customer service, for adherence to regulatory regulations, and for visual identification.

"We are looking forward to Flowfinity’s new capabilities for creating visual records," said Garett Wall, CFO of Centra Windows. "Our sales teams will improve sales effectiveness by helping prospective customers visualize their homes with the improvements that we offer, and our service teams will be able to take the ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures."
